About Finca Alianza
Floriselda was born in the world of coffee, specifically in the Finca Alianza of approximately 60 acres divided into 4 lots located at 1,000 meters above sea level, belonging to the municipality of Palmar in the department of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala with a humid tropical forest climate . Her coffee, in a unique way, is preserved by caring for the environment so that it is 100% organic certified by Kiwa BCS Öko Garantie based in Costa Rica. Floriselda has as part of her essence and personal brand the coffee from her farm, her path in coffee growing begins with her grandparents, who come from the Guatemalan highlands to the coast to grow their family and agriculture, her parents are born there and she gives his first steps in life hand in hand with coffee.
Her passion for coffee as a family, she begins to bear fruit after the acquisition of her farm after 2 continuous years of struggle with several families in her community, since it had been mortgaged by the former owner . However, this was not an impediment since together and through teamwork, they managed to acquire their farm to continue with the process of harvesting coffee and other crops such as macadamia, highlighting how wonderful they are. His best memories with coffee highlight the harvest time in the last months of the year, where he fondly remembers longing for the coffee season to help his parents with the harvest and thus celebrate the festive dates as a family.
Now Floriselda continues that legacy by constantly learning from her main mentor and motivation in her coffee growing, her father. As a fundamental part of her life is the fight so that all women in her community have the same opportunities and participation through the cooperative “Alianza S.A. Importadora y Exportadora ”of which 10 women are part and which she supports as an active member and part of the board of directors for the production of macadamia. His love for coffee goes beyond the hard work behind it, it goes hand in hand with a big smile, love and hope so that the conditions in which the coffee market is found improve in Guatemala and its producers obtain better conditions to never leave. to grow the distinctive coffee of Guatemala.
For Floriselda, continuous and constant learning is essential and she enjoys participating in different workshops since she firmly believes in continuous improvement not only professionally, but also personally. Likewise, she wants to inspire more coffee producers as they have inspired her so that more women can have their own plots, cultivate and bring their coffee to all corners of the world through the help to farmers that is reflected in their I work within the cooperative to which she belongs. In addition, to be a means to motivate the fellow producers of her community so that they can get involved and continue learning from themselves to stand out as women coffee growers, improve their productions and living conditions.
Floriselda not only grows coffee, she is not only a producer, she is outstanding and coffee has been a significant part in her life since through coffee growing she develops as a human being and unites her family to always have the motivation of continuous improvement, increase and renew their coffee plantations. To preserve what has been her family inheritance for years and to proudly maintain what for her from the bottom of her heart and her world is the best, her coffee.
