About Finca Monte Verde
Coffee runs through the veins of Maria Rene, who grew up listening to the stories of her great-grandparents of how they formed what is now Finca Monte Verde, a beautiful family project, a heritage of sacrifice, and the passion of more than 100 years of experience.
Finca Monteverde is a paradise among the clouds whose height allows us to appreciate the fusion of our country with Guatemala surrounded by majestic vegetation and fauna and where the day begins with our collectors enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.
From a coffee produced in Monte Verde you can expect an explosion of exotic flavors that range from chocolate and caramel to floral and fruity, as we know the influence that biodiversity aided by shade has on the quality of coffee and the positive impact on our environment.
One of our principles is continuous improvement and this allows us to focus on diversifying coffee varieties, implementing better post-harvest practices, new processing techniques such as honeys, naturals, controlled fermentations, thus achieving consistent quality and offering the best coffee to our customers.
Being a coffee farmer in El Salvador has not been an easy task. However, teamwork, perseverance and love for her heritage, has given Maria Rene the necessary tools not only to produce excellent quality coffee, but to grow as an independent beneficiary, managing to grow the family business and create the opportunity to contribute to the development of Cantón Monte Verde where the farm is located.
