Reflections: SCA Expo 2019
The Grounds for Empowerment team wrapped a successful participation at the Specialty Coffee Association Expo in Boston this earlier this month. Ivania, Ramona and Alexa joined us from Nicaragua to represent the program and share their experiences as small holder coffee producers.
GFE's participation also included a collaborative cupping with friends from farmer-focused coffee programs including: Direct Origin Trading, Bean Voyage, Long Miles Coffee Project and De la Gente, where attendees could learn more about efforts to support coffee farmers around the world.
We were also able to share our learnings from our most recent sustainable business workshop in Guatemala with Anacafe, stay tuned for updates on more GFE workshops at origin!
