About Finca Grano de Oro
It is a family property called Finca Grano de Oro, located in Juayúa, Department of Sonsonate in El Salvador. It has an altitude of 1220 meters above sea level. It belonged to my in-laws and before them it belonged to my in-laws' parents. In 2009, a rust infestation attacked the trees and they were not able to cultivate for several years. Five years ago with my eldest son, Juan Carlos, we had a project to renovate the farm, we planned to plant coffee again, the logo was even printed and many ideas came up. Last year in memory and honor of our ancestors, and especially my son we began to plant the coffee seeds. We decided on this venture with my husband and began to renovate the farm, in which three varieties of coffee have been planted; Bourbón, Pacas and Pacamara, in addition to coffee, we planted avocado, orange, lemon and sapote trees. There are also dogs, chickens and roosters. We have set values that we have to comply with, such as conserving the environment, caring for the ancient trees. We have great enthusiasm to get ahead, growing quality coffee, with exquisite aromas, which makes me feel proud and also aims to empower us to build a company with a vision: That is self-sustaining and where we always preserve the quality of the coffee.
