About Finca Mi Granjita
Angelita Paz is a 22 year old young mother, farmer, producer and entrepreneur who has been in the coffee industry since she was born. She loves working stating her favorite part is "knowing the riches that the field offers us." Her farm is owned by her team called Procafé and is located in San Marcos at the foot of the Tajumulco volcano at a height of 1350 meters. The coffee it produces is of the Bourbon type, Costa Rica 95 and typical, which it sells at different festivals and in nearby areas. Her parents were an important pillar, who supported her to work the land and to know more about this world, leaving her a great lesson: she can do everything that any man can also do with his land.
Among the different projects that she has carried out in the coffee industry are that she has traveled to Colombia to be certified as Pre Q. In addition, for 8 years she has worked with a group of young people in a project called Procafé that hopes to be a cooperative that help local coffee growers. In addition, they offer different courses on coffee tasting and agriculture so that young people from the rural area where they live decide to dedicate themselves to coffee production. On the other hand, they have started a coffee brand called "Wuq", the coffee that inspires. The meaning of this word is that of the number seven, in the Mam language, a Mayan dialect that is spoken in some parts of Guatemala. This is because there have been seven friends who have come together to dare to dream of this project.
As future goals, Angelita wants to formalize her business by becoming a legal cooperative with Procafé and registering her trademark. She seeks the development of her entrepreneurship by learning and helping others along the way. You would love to connect with new clients around your country and around the world. In addition, she wants to continue creating an impact in her community through education in search of the sustainable development of the families of small producers in her region. Encouraging to improve the competitiveness of the industry and the quality of coffee by creating an equitable business environment in the area.
